South East of Church at next comer is Cliver Black shale, this black shale is exposed also N of church corner. From house N of church, going up the road, While on E side of road, white clay on left. From middle part of rise hill is Cliver black shale on both sides of road, presumably dipping NW. House rooms at top of hill on W side of road. No exposure here but cherty rock occurs where road turns off to east. Rock dips strongly W. That is very thin strips x 2 chains wide. Dissected to be Lower West Union. Further up down the hill along upper third of hill above, is sand rock with small celled foraminifera, East of the road junction the Lower West Union rock ascends the hill and at the same time slopes northward. At some 5 feet below the level the strong bend of the road northward, there is a white clay, as yet unexamined. Just before reaching strong bend in road towards east, white clay film from west which shows up, fronting strong bend in road to mi where road descends the hill, there is Lower West Union dipping strongly NNW, undulated at lower part of built by White Clay arch formation partially. Hill runs N of roads along edge of this hill bounding the road occurs white creek chalk and clay at scheme SE and runs back limbering, very slightly lower West Union. Then runs rises eastward along long hill slope exposing Bellport near base with Bransfield debris begin up and Cincinnati rocks seen top but not actually in site, Some Cincinnati rocks show up on that part of road which as Cline's hill SE in direction. When road runs E there are no opposes until bend of road is reached where it turns at right angle northward. Here very strongly tilted Cincinnati rocks near, Road turns NNE, then ENE. Cincinnati debris occurs at bend,

Next, road turns NNE again, then ENE. A little Cincinnati delvis runs in the road. House on S side of road, NE y house by rm, just before end of road toward ESE, Cincinnati rubs debris at several intermediate points. Where road begins to go strong, from hill is first Cincinmate rnb, then jumble clay, farther dwn road and quite farther dwn is Bossfield, a little furn are also, a little lower is Crab Oak and white clay. Still lower is from West Union plain tically vertical with strike about N 80 E. The road goes more directly south and turns one east. In a short distance the exposures are from West Union, then for a much larger distance they are marble. About 300 yards west of the point where the road turns N in order to give the spike there is exposed the Delvis Black shale. Andrew school NW y Grant Grove WTr 773 corner. Then up hill. Marble for considerable distance sides up hill. At first west of hill is marble and thus marble continues to se and east, a short distance S of house on left of road. From this house northward to bend of road is from West Union. Then E to bend of road. Then NNE down hill where rock is from West Union to road junction with house toward NE side of junction. West of this house is white Crab Oak and clay, and farther west in the sun bed Bossfield. Limestone are common. Some that are dark green. A short distance before reaching the house and end of lane, a dry wealth. The sun is indicated by the cut on line. Bossfield is exposed SE of this limestone crossing in a low elevation in this valley. There, from of this Bossfield is dipple marked on large scale. One layer one layer is included here in the debris. The iron ore bed is well exposed west of this dry water stream dipping strongly eastward. The bed about 2 ft thick. The dry stream goes only about 2 feet below this red bed. The bed rises to, point where road turns NW to house,

A fault plane seems to intersect just East of house, going N to S, and on North side of this fault seems to be some partly West North West of this house is stream junction. On eastern branch at this junction is Brassfield and Brassfield shows up on the southern side of the hill land between this junction stream junction or of the Farm the course the Clints extending including the Iron ore, continue west ward on N side of stream, and on again East bank of western forks. Here * Cathayron clint merges, Birdshy, *Lancetata with parallel sides. * Defile area, Iron ore, occur in Brassfield limestone. Along the Eastern side of this western fork the Brassfield dips southward and somewhat easterly so that it would go under the hill land on the South side of the stream south of the junction of the two forks. The Dayton limestone seems to form the top of the section as exposed along this ridge between the two forks. It is not known what lies N of the western forks, and this system fork might be due to fault lines. Look up. Return to road junction a little over 1 mile NNE from Andrews school. Go E. Probably Crab Orchard clay on North bottom. Then NE, probably, also Crab Orchard clay in North bottom and on south side of valley. Before reaching point where road turns about due west N, blue black shale is exposed on S side of road and also on N side of road further up hill. Here the black shale dips steeply West or that at road angle where road turns to right N there is Monroe with black shale westward, the plane of joint act dipping steeply west. Road turns straight north. Monroe Road turns ENE. Monroe at road corner. Stone on north side of road. Monroe in road very poorly exposed along road. 1 white east is little limestone all along the road. The road turns to right N again. East of this road are great areas covered with blue black shale also pretty well mixed with Bedford drift. Along the road southward is white clay, probably Clinton argy. Stone further N, as far as road angle, is blue's black shale.

The road turns straight east, then NE. No good outcrop. Brassfield extends along road from 820 corner south as far as first fence in W side of this new road, alter in road angle SW to 820 corner. NE corner 820 is rally, then muddy, then highest land with no exposure. A low hill NE, no exposure for any distance. Half way to the school is white clay, age uncertain, but probably Cretaceous. At the C manor point it is similar White clay, possibly Crat Lichard, London 1 mi NE, while Sinking Spring road a Baker orch road crosses. Middle Fork rock strikes NNW and dips NE, bringing up West Main mtf. It dips NE. Then NE to house on little projection. In first little stream valley NE corner is Brassfield at outcrop, dipping SW south. The next stream valley appears to be mapped by Crat Lichard, overlaid at top ridge by West Main dipping south down the ridge, and still Steeple eastward. Eastward a very short lane leads N to farm. Where Baker orch road takes W bend by Baker creek, decorated white band &: mud rock is exposed. This undulating immediately eastward by that part of the banded mottled stone examined West Main which undulated the Holsphraguna clay zone, but not Holsphraguna clay appears me same line. Dip = W steep. At corner 689 outcrop also shows up, if road, overlaid by Lower Red Main as that the Lower Whitefieldella bed occurs at 700 about, dipping SW southward. Immediately E of 659 corner the road turns NNE. Here from West Main is shown above the road level while Crat Lichard is seen beneath, south of the road. House on farm S side of roads on hill side NE of this house, west of a faintly long valley, is Brassfield ditch, including Holsphraguna & Magna. This strikes departingly north east bringing it below this dry stream level within 200 feet of Baker road. At house on farm and in road bed NE Brassfield dipping E as though a low anticlinal ran through here north eastward. NE corner & fence a lone cincein from the SE. Further on is low flat valley and NE this valley the little projection is made up of mud rock.

Just beyond this the road bends straight east. Here Clent argy clay is overlaid by Black shale. Clent argy shins up at Honey Hill east ward. Next a house is seen in N sidey road. Here Clent argy is overlaid by Black shale and further north the top of West Wmin is seen. Road goes NE and passes Dane on west side. Black shale underlaid Clent argy all the way up the hill to the cabin by the road in Up, Also Black shale E coming down the hill as far as road coming in from Dr. Marl rock occurs in creek bed just cast of road junction, NE as far as house in hill crest south y road, my marl is exposed except a very small patch of Clent argy. This marl looks on though once it had been thin bed like Wmin, but this is uncertain. East y lurnee. Black shale shins up on far as base of hill. Followed by marl rock as far east as next house in N side of road. Easty lurnee the marl shins up to foot y hill, E y Baker Fork bridge is lime West Wmin. This continues E to first house in N sidey road. Further E the ground probably is underlaid by black shale but no actual exposures are seen until little stream in next lurnee in N sidey road. No exposure east ward until the jpike is reached. Along Sinking Springs- Grant Grove jpike Black shale in E 2 ide y jpike from Allamo Cr line 3 mi's where laine turns off W. Here, is led y creek and in hill most y creek to W horse dipping cast ward and at least 20 degrees. Black shale above in hill. West ward up, hill is Black shale about halfway to bendy road, the second half of this strd is marl apparently of Wmin origin. Then road turns south. The ridge presently is under laid by West Wmin. Then road turns E, SE of lurnee is rock identified as West Wmin. Past off house along old lane on map marl from Wminre is exposed in drop to point where road turns south up a stream hollow. Here marl dips druggy west ward and is Gore West Wmin. On next side of creek direct E & W y bend of road The formations Orssofield strikes on Summit Large Dayton & Others also run. Follows stream down to entrance into Baker creek. Here, up a hill side run, my Richmond Achis occurs, but in great abundance. This run is located at point where Baker Run makes a strong west bend just south of mouth of little branch just of me describes.
