Dunnsville. Brainfield base = 26 ft above road crossing at station on West Electric, Egrem. quarry S of West Electric St. Brainfield Base = 882 NGS. From Dunnsville village 3/4 mile then 1 1/2 miles to Jackson creek. Brainfield top at 925 and base estimated at 970, NGS. The top of Brainfield is difficult to distine guish from the Dayton since only the top layer is granular here and below the rock is finer grained. The only way I can tell is fairly exposed. The bottom 24 inches of the Dayton is rotten and not thick bedded. C & W'd drift immediately above. Dunnsville village S 1/5 mile. Top of Brainfield near 920. Dunnsville village at bend of road, south 1/2 mile. Large Brainfield exposure much disturbed - synagural fold and depressions. Lowest exp. sures about .890 as mean as (can be estimated) Snyderville, N.J. Railroad. Top of Brainfield '895. Base calculated at 870 a little bs. Brainfield also along RR track east by RR crossing. S W of Snyderville 1/2 mile, n road to corner 982. Springfield section at 950 and below with gradual strike S 45 E, Egrem village, 1 mi E, south 1/4 mile, Springfield & walking Cedarville appear as two quarries. Egrem village. Wells in village go so to 16 ft through gravel to get water, therefore no Brainfield here. Byram 1 mi E 1 mi SE. More Dinnercinos Platystrophiia reverenda many ples Cations on fold. Cysted bedded shales. Clothogena phaeo chint menas Strong drift south in smiths mead. Byram 1 mi E, 1/5 mi SW, 1 1/2 mi E, south east of road corner. Top of Brainfield = 970 - 975 Dinnercinos. Smith last trench 1/4 mi', Top of Brainfield at least 1/4 to 965 Dinnercinos good.
