At 926, the high gradient along the road, the top of the black shale + base of the Bedford shale appear to be exposed, but the Bedford shale may have slumped. 3/4 mi E of corner 827. Alent angy - More contact at 870 as near as can be judged from contour lines. 1/2 ami E of corner 827, at highest road level = about 875, very hard white l. with Monomville small tuff: Ogenosity low, and numerous large gast eruptions. = top of Chinotone line and in depths West Union with Alent angy immediately above. Steam Furnace School 1mi W to 845 corner then 3/4 mi S E Alent angy - West Union contact at 900-25 = 875, judging from contour lines. Steam Furnace School south to corner 804, 1/2 mile south of 804 lane leads off east. Highest West Union road creek seen at about 840, Fig 9 West Union unknown. Steam Furnace school south to corners 804 and 846, Highest west Union seen just N of 846 at about 870.
