From Cedar Mills 3 mi SW, and then 3/4 mi S to projecting tongue of land. Tp of West Union exposed repeatedly at about 780 in the road. Cremites with small and dirty root specks, as at Hillstown Small celled Favosites. 1/2 mi N of 943 crest, at house in tongue of land, Tp of West Union at 800 about. Small celled Favosites. Crossed by 20 ft s which greenish a light colored slent angry shales. Fired animate whole hander light colored shales continue for 5 ft quite. At house 1/4 mi's the slent angry appears to show up at correct part of road 7/8 mi N by Mill creek spike, on same road as before. Tp of West Union, as far as exposed, is at 790 about, 5/8 mi S of Mill creek road, means road as before, 1/2 of 2nd house in way down. 1-5 ft Celluarangy. 2 ft Hillsb'wn sandstone. 770 ft US G S. Tp of West Union, From mouth of Bates Run take road straight south from Mill's creek spike. Tp of West Union - 770. Tp 1/2 pt my hard L, containing in large Megalodons, large gastern ports including large Strapartlia of Hillstown area. Between 4 and 5 feet below top, I West Union a large Trimerella to chum m. Also small celled Favosites, large gastropods, West Union covered by 22 ft of clut angry. On same road S of mouth of Bates Run, 5 from Mill creek road, 1/2 mile, just N by 766 and junction, Tp of West Union - 775 accurate. Blue creek Rd, 2 mi W then 1/2 mi SW. Tp of West Union at 705. Clent angry. Cladofna, Helyites nexus, the large strapartlia like shell found at Hill- town. Other large gastropods, evidently the large gastropod family of Hilltown. Mill creek road, west of mouth of Middle creek 3 mile, Tp of junction West Union - clut angry contact at 745 about, - east of first house and I word UNION on map,
