Worm marks. Some of the pebbles practically never were moved. Others partially once let down, by hunkering up & moderately cleaned, when fine stuff was washed out & coarse grained material remained behind. Wind could not have settled at once on pebbles since time must have elapsed sufficient for growth of Crabs & Rhizids otherwise, A shoreline crack draws away laterally, a wind crack spalls off upward at edges also. To what extent do wave marks tend to indicate the trend of the shore line, or do they indicate wind direction? In a shallow epicontinental sea, it should be wind direction.
