to east Grove NW 1 mile, to bridge hangs over Crooked creek. All west of this as far as bridge, but at bridge the top of the Great Arch and clay is seen. Crooked creek itself crossed further west. My Crooked creek bridge ½ mile, just beyond Come turning off west. On N E side of ridge, beyond farm, Minerve exposed with strike N W to road and dip N E. Only about 12 ft dip here actually exposed here. North + NW y Cant expose the ridge is formed by Black slate underlain by Clinton argy on southern side. At next house northwest below lettered in Andrews, this is Minerve which continues as far west as Andrews school & corner 773, dipping southwest a north west road all the way. Beyond it at a third house. At first house S y road westy 773 corner is Minerve still. At second house S y road westy 773 corner Clay Black shale shows up in soil south of the house about 20 feet. This underlies house also firstably, west of the next house, on N side of road, is Clinton argy on N side of road; Further W, beyond small dry swm indicated only by contour line in creek, is Minerve. Further W, is plenty of Little Black shale No outcrops west of Straight Stream cutting in from N as far as first road turning off N, beyond house. Turn N th the Brady way.) 2 ½ mi NW by strike, west y road, (Clinton argy - Minerve contact at about 760-20 = 740 fairly exact. at road angle 3/8 mi NW by strike, west y road. Clinton argy-Minerve contact is about 765-50 = 715, indicating dip t north west, here. At lane leading west toward 3 repeat W and the near slope of about 25 ft from road level. To expose along road until cut y road at some 840 ft but at NE of Surveyor's mound line is reached. New Great Arch end shows up on Sma west thin dip facing nearly 60 degrees east. Lack y contact about 820. Northward down hill, Great Archard shows of below the same form west Min'm
