Bridles 8 At Brad Criner: 573 Zinetta See but not the base; 19/2 Up: ferruginous nodules large, abundant. 24 1/2 ft. from base; ferruginous nodules large, abundant, 33 1/2 ft. up, from base since 24 1/2 ft. ferr. cinnops nodules occur at vari ous intervals, large & abundant. 4 1/2 ft. per face. Ferruginous nodules not large, 53 clay. Since 30 the Zinetta clay gradually has become harder and more chalky but it still weather whitish + soft clay, at 53 is plenty of ferruginous nodular material. Up to 637 ferruginous nodules are seen in the clay shale. This clay are just as abundant as lower planes. Clay does just exactly the same and soft but tends to lie more broken up so that flakes fragments weathering dark blade gives a light brown. At 643 is the first layer of rock like fine freest one, 4 in thick, with ferruginous nod ules absent clay quite below, a change from stuff weather- cloy to that weathering more only takes place near 624 In reality it very gradual. From 643 to 660 occasionally freestone layers, 2 to 3 in thick and occasional ferruginous nodules occur. Up to 681 since 660 flares rock, with occasional ferr nodules but no clay; free at at least some well exposed. At 725 thin & ferruginous nodules but these have been crushed scarcely since 637 and more so since 615, except at occasional intervals. Up to 745 there is clayey shale with very little ferruginous in it. Collected clay between 695 and Up to 798 the order is flitch clay, ark, with ferruginous nodules rare. Fossils nearly but very few up to 817 came as last - rock. Collected from 745 to 817: Up to 836 from 817 A cramer part of the shale is indurated as to flake like a bastard freestone, but it is very coarse of all badly, weathering into to a new kind of rock as between 745 and 817. Between 817 and 860 the shale as a massive hard and flinty rocks and weathers to my rock.

AT 863 the rocks slightly cherty and at 871 it becomes more distinctly cherty, Up to 889 from 871 there are indist. fragments in crease, but almost all of the rock consists of rocks like upper travely clay rocks kindly cracked up into small fragments or layer mass, where as underneath, Collected from 830 to 860. Going northward along ridge road from 986, the formation cherty rises to 876. From 820 further S., [illegible], I found one at 874, at 869 some- what cherty limestone. Beneath this is upper Wawky shaly clay rock. Beneath this is the more solid freest and like rocks as in road East of D. roads, from 850 down to 800 and down to 780, much less solid so that it weather shaly when dry exposed but appears much more solid when freshly exposed. Beneath this level the shaly clay Wawky rock appears practically with no ferruginous modules [illegible] From edge to 540 892 and northward still lower but exposures are too poor for measurement. 450 - No evidence of anything so low as Ginietta clay as creek bed at 473, = 1/2 mi. S by South Park Sta. From End Ridge along the road following east side gravel road, for 1/2 mile only gulfish from Wawky above the Ginietta clay is shewn. Rest of this stretch as far as 451 there apparently is Ginietta clay but exposures are poor. 452 - One + a half miles north west of Barkers Shaly Wawky just above Ginietta clay, a top of Ginietta clay. Ferruginous Modules can be in British clay; Henry R Sanders knows where Specimens on Butts or Wawdy were formerly found, about 10 miles east of Warren by mi No 520 on west side of branch.
