301 Black slate at 527 up this far at least,
302 at 480. may be black slate here but if so, it is so badly weathered that the black color shows only in a few thin layers, Rest is light colored.
303 at 490 Light colored soil may mean Wavaly.
304 Good Black slate exposure at 480,
305 at 495 Black slate tip with phosphatic nodules 10 inches long at maximum.
38-1/2 ft light Hardlay Sinietta.
Sinietta Clay believed to extend at least 27-1/2 ft farther up = total of at least 65 ft.
306. Black slate tip.
307 Plenty of black slate this far west.
308 exposures seen between 307 and 308,
at 308 at a level of 466 and for some distance below -- 460 at least, Wavaly clay showing. Whether slumped down a gulf I do not know.
