Burns to a delicate light red flesh- or cream color, creamy white. 2169. Clay of remarkable thin cleanness; on the road leading from Macr to Beldham, about a mile and a half from Waco. Probably below the Coniferous limestone me. John R Proctor. a compact clay, generally of a light olive-grey color, but crined irregularly with ochreous & ferruginous bits plastic. Calcines quite hard, of a hand-some light brick color. 2170. Indurated clay from C.L. Searcy, near Bellist Cr. Be- neath the Coniferous limestone Bed 18 ft thick or so.
