AT 863 the rocks slightly cherty and at 871 it becomes more distinctly cherty, Up to 889 from 871 there are indist. fragments in crease, but almost all of the rock consists of rocks like upper travely clay rocks kindly cracked up into small fragments or layer mass, where as underneath, Collected from 830 to 860. Going northward along ridge road from 986, the formation cherty rises to 876. From 820 further S., [illegible], I found one at 874, at 869 some- what cherty limestone. Beneath this is upper Wawky shaly clay rock. Beneath this is the more solid freest and like rocks as in road East of D. roads, from 850 down to 800 and down to 780, much less solid so that it weather shaly when dry exposed but appears much more solid when freshly exposed. Beneath this level the shaly clay Wawky rock appears practically with no ferruginous modules [illegible] From edge to 540 892 and northward still lower but exposures are too poor for measurement. 450 - No evidence of anything so low as Ginietta clay as creek bed at 473, = 1/2 mi. S by South Park Sta. From End Ridge along the road following east side gravel road, for 1/2 mile only gulfish from Wawky above the Ginietta clay is shewn. Rest of this stretch as far as 451 there apparently is Ginietta clay but exposures are poor. 452 - One + a half miles north west of Barkers Shaly Wawky just above Ginietta clay, a top of Ginietta clay. Ferruginous Modules can be in British clay; Henry R Sanders knows where Specimens on Butts or Wawdy were formerly found, about 10 miles east of Warren by mi No 520 on west side of branch.
