Texas' Oil Wealth.
A CCORDING to the Dallas
News in 1925 Texas produced
150,000,000 barrels of petroleum,
the price of Texas oil throughout
that year averaged about $1.75 a
barrel and on that basis the value
of petroleum in Texas for that
year exceeded $260,000,000. Is there
money in oil?
