"Austin, April 15-1926 Thursday Attended Keith's lecture last night and then he walked one to the Dallas Hotel. Had some ice cream and at 10 P.M. we said good bye. This morning I packed up and at 11 A.M. Dellars calls for me and takes me to the depot. Just a little before the train starts Mrs Dillard comes to say good bye. We were talking to Hdders son when she came. Mrs Dillard assures one that I made many friends at Austin and that I helped along getting a great deal. At 11:30 I am off for St. Louis in a Pullman. The day is bright and cool - remarkably cool for this place at this time of year. Got to Dallas at 7 P.M. Off again at 5:05 P.M. Retired at 8:45 P.M. En Route To Cincinnati April 16-1926 Left at 6:20 A.M. when the train was in S.W. Ohio- Souri. The day is bright, cool, and there is hardly any sign of budding plants. A few fruit trees about houses earlier from. Left St. Louis on Band O. at noon to get to Cin. Q. at 8:45 P.M.
