the Bapland me, The time break is of considerable
length and easily separates the Permian from
the Pennsylvanian.
Then ventured to the "Uncomformity" there
described on Monday that is 23.4 miles N.E.
of Marathon, Lullards and Baker are now
satisfied that while the hill looks like a
genuine uncomformity, yet the upper li. may have
its present position due to folding and faulting
or thrusting.
Then I walked along the road towards Bap-
tand to see if the "Tesnus" had any joints.
he found none. At the uncomformity here
the Tesnus stands vertical and on the next
hill north the strata dips S, going over the crest
of the hill the strata dip again N, at low angles
to near the place where we collected fossils on
Monday where they stand vertical. All of this
or had been farther East and it did not cause
one to change any ideas that the "Tesnus" in
simply Bapland = Pennsylvania.
