No trace of l.o. ven. on first examination. Marg. inh. in some cases the etc. Burkhodemy appears to take place as result of dichotomy of 2' ven's new margin. These are not upward directed as in angios. In some cases the dichotomy takes place near mid vein in fact toward & by up the 2'ven becomes a great deal less regular. This is not an angio but a fern type of ven. Each l.c. area of leaf depressed below ven, sug ven's almost looks imbricate. Matrix of specimen or f.g. acc carb. as to come to preserve fine details

V 11327 Cast. ungeri Pl 45(3) Serrate ly as moulded teeth, ven penn, crisp 3's closely pure & o on stilette. X V 11334 Quercus behari Hew II (1871) p.472 Pl. 44(10) Bowl portion of a pinnate or transitional imperfect actent suprasely palinecting lf, tree ante thus decurrent margin with shallow rounded serrations 2's fairly str thus barely ruptured at margin lowest pair of 2's stronger than those done but having the same course, junction so!

Other variation is good. To 4° not loosely articulated, 3's L to me etc.

So during the you yes Ice Age however great areas of continents were covered by ice sheets which created all of other features. Today Continental ice sheets such as this we found only in Greenland & Arct. Islands & Antarctica. They have left behind unmistakable signs of their former presence & signs which can be readily recognized by me if I know what to look for and it is some of these that we will attempt to show you in this presentation.

Mineralogical Museum - Copenhagen May 30, 1974 Mostly a standard cabinet display - Geology & By of Diamonds, Iceland, Minerals of Iceland. Topical flat pictorial & hand lettered display of oil for energy causes interesting. Many very spectacular & delightful things but all freshened.

Aarhus - Den Gamle By Visited June 3, 1974 Village of normal world houses in a recreation of a Late Renaissance Danish Market Town. (See Denmark) Many assembled room fragments, very good but a bit artificial as no natural museum type setting because on the interior there are many room settings. Moesgaard Archaeological museum housed in former outbuilding of a manor. Home of Dept. of Archaeology & V. of Aarhus. Very open building - typically a good organization. Some contemporary archaeol - Afghanstan & Eskimos. Reconstructed house, photomural of setting. The rest is a period typified racing, Denmark's prehistoric Culture. Old stone time, Iron Age from etc. Underground both enclosed by a long leading into the photo murals. Grabrulle man so good at site and excavations. A very well done up cartoon flow of cleanup - Frandsen showing large photomural of site, part of the digging process, mixed with real display of objects. Objects Good display of damage from finding process.

Large number of objects shown. Each period room organized by site; sites will keyed to a large map.

Zoological Museum - Copenhagen Brochure included. Appears to be a well integrated approach to exhibiting natural history. I.e. The largest ant hill I have ever seen in a museum in a 6 x 4 x 4 foot case. A television camera gives a magnificent view of animal activity which is projected onto a monitor nearby. This formed a very popular exhibit. Some good Taxonomic panels Principles of Ecology - Food chains (or Chains)

Ponds or animal behavior. The basic part the mouse plays in the food system of several predators - fox etc. Photomurals in bas-relief dynamics or one dimension. The backdrop is made of [illegible] Transparencies of woodland set at various depths & painted green & yellow by hand. It was so arrested by technique that it force that I did not much notice the saw deer in the foreground. A walkway through a swamp does not looks so its mixture of real & artificial plants and putty stuffed animals (all dirty), running water & some live animals Community, reproduction, prey cycles are all in this exhibit. Off to one side is a library type room where visitors can get questionnaires which are then graded by a Monitor. Not actually graded but rather visitor is consulted when he has difficulties. Also there are popular books on the field scientific of plants, birds, animals, shell fossils & fossils of Denmark. Thin cases of purely systematic collections Birds, mounted plants in purely systematic arrangement. Finally a language lab-type room where visitors can hear bird & animal sounds on tape & silent them but this was closed due to vandalism.

1 resident director is a staff of from 12-18 exhibits people & 2 student scouts whose full time job is athlete at our resp for all. Education handled by Bio majors or at least 1 year college but, from 2007 final.

S side some basic principles some of this is well done. Genetic variation - too windy & difficult to follow - Moles & seal specimens used from evolution of flight - insect, mammal & reptile parallels also done. Migration Annual changes in plumage Lots of Birdmen working on it. Br. Bird Hall - Dark blue ceiling with bird small flying bird silhouettes lining below is quite nice. Cases in taxonomic basically not a few decorations for effect. Arrangement by environments such as Cliffs & Sea Coast, Marsh & Fen, Decid Woodland, Conif Woodland, Inldm, Farm fields, Mountains, Mons etc. A good idea for D.C. Bride Ploughs for listening to Bird calls but rather low fi.
