Nov. 11. Many gulls circled over stadium during Army and Navy game
and fed on lawn for days afterward when the grass was very wet
from the heavy rains.
Nov. 13. Two W. Winter Wrens between here and the mouth of the
Canyon.
Rain Nov. 11, 12, 13.
Nov. 17. Hermit Thrush sang. Druil came to table - 1 female has
band.
Nov. 19, 20. Rain
Nov. 21 - Clearing. Hermit Thrush singing.
Nov. 22. Mr. Clabough reported banding a White-throated
Sparrow on Nov. 13 - repeat Nov. 15? and a Harris
Sparrow Nov. 24. Frost in early morning.
Nov. 23. Frost. Brilliantly clear. Druil came for food.
Nov. 24. Thanksgiving. Went to Lake Meritt at 4 p.m. -
crowd of people. Ducks had not increased
much - Pintails and Baldpats most numerous,
a few Spoonbills, 6 Snow Geese, a few Hutehins,
1 White Pelican. Saw no Canvas Backs or
other Deep water Ducks. Frost in morning.
Nov. 25. Warmer, overcast. Druil take all the food
I put out: No spotted towhees.
Dec. 3. Colder.
Dec. 12. Hermit Thrush has spent much time last two weeks in logon, eating berries.
Walked to museum and back. Saw 2 flockd quail, 1 Calyay, 1 Steller, gey,
1 Anna linner, several flickers, Audubon Warblers, P.C. Knights, Orange
black-backed tits, a few G.C. Knights, Wrentits, Brown-Towhees, juncoes.
or large flock White crowned & Golden-crowned Sparrows, 4 Song Sparrows
several gulls - Greenbacks & Goldfinches.
No Spotted Towhees.
