9-20-31 Blade, standard inside purple on edges, almost white in center. Wings rich purple at tips, greenish white below, much shorter than standard, much longer than beak. Fr. about 5cm x6mm, dark brown when ripe. Ocular bars (veins) near separ- ating them at edges not conspicuous in ripe fr. but not hel. faces. Note: the two very large flowers fowards end of st; those below smaller. Fls always solitary. Tendrils mostly banded. 9-20-31 Atriple x hortensis L. Cost 177, Bon 267, BVH 390, BMGCP 257, SVI 220 Fr.
