No basal lob but this base very like of the E. often commonly cultivated with broad ciliate entire- divide L. Heads 1/2 in high v bluntly cylindrical at end of flowering x 7/8 in wide when first flowering, heads are shorted somewhat conical. 9-2-31 Rumex crispus L. Cato III 200, Bon 242, RVH 394, & 355 , IV ft slim (seen only at upper edge of new property of English school) Clad with R. obtusifolius. Peduncle frs fr. def cordate v tubercle large (usually large only once) but these clues not evident in fl. 9-2-31 Daphne Mezereum L. (See 5-29-31) Fz. Nye- 9-2-31 Indigofera Gerardiana Bork (See 6-24-31) Fz. clear stripes Dr. Reynolds yard at Val Mont. Cylindrical deflexed pods 1/4-1/2 in x 1/8 in, approaching globose as they ripen, apiculate (few with bit of style). Gummy substance forms a layer bet. seeds and also fills pods at each end beyond seeds. Pod inside with nothing remains of calyx and stamen tube.
