L very short petioled. St when leaves fallen
rough with overlapping brood ridges which
formed the lower part of petiole (adequate to extend)
petioles pass articulated to this ridge. Frequent
cone shape agglomerations fls from base next
to a yellow grit. Lvs dark green & shining above,
dull or yellowish green below beneath. Boughes
(at rather like Picea except that articulation is so placed
(lower) that the short petioles are not left on at. Branch-
lets green v much more slender than Thica.
