[8-27-33 Fl vadr. f. Jaman. Fl not yet as nearly orbicular as ill Bor v Cate, nor as def notched as ill Cate] equal. Raylets also unequal. Fls very small, white. Base of involucre 0, bracts involved few, filiform inconspicuous. Lfts to 5 x 3 in, generally obtuse. Cd with Angelica silvestris (7-24-31) 7-22-31 Gentiana lutea. (see 5-2906-12-31) Fls young fz. Below Jaman. 7-22-31 Gentiana purpurea. (see 6-30-31) Fls below Jaman. Like 6-30-31 except corolla lighter (neuve not at all yellow), v less thickly dotted. 7-22-31 Gentiana Fl. Path from Jaman shortly above Chamoosolez. Poss a hybrid bet A. lutea & A. purpurea both growing in vicinity. More than 1 spce seen. Fls v habit like A. lutea: 5x 3/4 high, thick, too orbiculate in 3's v very like A.l- (but less glaucous) & the lower ones not pistilso & the length of blade), anthers free. Fls numerous in each involucre (13-20) Fls more like A. l.- in that they are campanulate, per- dominately purplish v dotted (Corolla 3 cm long cut 1/2 & length while A.p- has corolla 4 cm long cut 1/4 length. (Corolla tube yellowed inside) Likes 5 while A. l. has 6 or ?. Fls almost sessile as in A. p.- never with the long pedicels v def parenchymelous
