Seed shining vs smooth except on edge where it is faintly transverse-wrinkled. Sepals widely scarious. edged the three venose visible (20x) only from inside. Petals often only 1 or 2 or more. Gen pod with teeth rolled back exactly if? (Cote) 6-30-31 Gentiana purpurea L. Cote #560, Bon 214. Fl. Jaman-CrĂȘte de Ban (Ident acc to Cote. Note that desc vill Bon & Burseri Lap v 4 junfura L seems reversed with desc vill of these 2 species Cote) St 25-35 cm high, somewhat hollow. Calyx cut almost to base, almost entire, no teeth. Corolla 4 cm high with 6 rounded lobes 1 cm deep, marsone on outside, very slightly lighter on lobes inside thickly spotted brown. Tube inside greenish-red-dish. No part of corolla yellow. Crazy Mark flecked. Outters rumted in tube. Stigmas divided. Fls sessile terminating and also in groups 2-3 in axils of the 2 prand fls below the fls. St lvs might be called acuminate, blunt div, broadly acute tipped, all 5-nerved. (late spec. shewd 1-2 foliaceous tips on others)
