to count ribs. Pappus bright white now 7mm wide
achenes are & mm in Ident head. Lute bracts
spreading to give effect of double involucra.

rugose wedges. Mid-nerve only visible. Calyx mae
or less purplish 2.5 cm long. Petals w/greenish
base (flint) scarced with purple hairs.
