Rather crispy pubescent l fts 10-12 mm, 2x5 mm, pubescence beneath pressed, that above lower. Infl about length of fld (no longer) flower- ing from below upward. Style Rattens? falls laterally, many fld. 1-sided. Flw 9-11 mm, purplish-blue. Standard has limb v claw 3 same length v width (within 2 mm or perhaps claw 1/2 mm wider). Very young fr. lobes as though stalks might be longer than calyx. Post this is not at Cote calls V. Gerardii All. (see 8-11-31 6-24-31 Trifolium medium L. Cote I 348 Bon 80 BVH-116, A 509, BM GCP 406 Fl. glion. St not glabrous. All stipules lanceolate-acuminate except the sub- tending flw which are more as deca. For T. pratense l vs ciliate edge, entire. Later found with his hatched legites (V caeps "spothles") v st def zig-zag. 6-25-31 Tenucrium Chamaedryos L. Cote # 138, Bon 257, BVH 374, BM GCP 651. Fl. glion. Fl 1/2 in long. Corolla pale rose with darker spots v 2 lines of dots at base of lower lip. Inside side flw, calyx v corolla outside and anthers at base all bear minute (30x) white albulus on surface. Later found with corolla darker.
