4-17-31 Luzula pilosa Willd Cote III 455 BnH 491 =L. vernalis DC. Bn 322. Fl. Alion. llll basal lvs. wider above base (ill Bn) to 7mm, hence psl 8. this is not L. Forsteri DC. But bractlets under fl. are sometimes obuse (Cote) with nodes. mid-rib and sometimes acute with midrib prolonged into slit awn-like tip. Infl. (a.t.s.) suggests ill Cote. (See 4-28-31 4-17-31 Myozotis silvatica Hoffm. Cote II 601, Bn 224 BnH 923, AMQC.P. 634. Fl vry young fr. Alion. Corolla flat, 7mm diam., blue (1 spec white). Calyx cvll covered with hairs (appressed v spreading) tips of tube curled. Oules look as tho carpels would be "more or less marginal v carinate ventrally" (B.MQC.P) Corolla tube as long as or very slightly shorter than caly. 4-17-31 Myozotis Fl. Alion. But same as above but only 6 in head, 4 to tops. Dust axillary v terminal on short pedunclets. Corolla flat, blue & mm diam. a.t.s. (half?) flowered) raceme has a tight compact look. Otherwise no diff from above discernible.
