ular pubescent (not hirsute). Calyx much larger, 12mm (instead of 7) 6-19-31 Valeriana excelsa Poir. Cote II 262 = V. zambu- cifolia Milan. BVH 226 v evidently similar to V. nigricinalis L. Bon 144. Fl. Alion, R'dvert J Valmont. Plant 3ft 10 in high. Stolon (which pulled up readily will plant & hence perhaps 'epigees', also light colored because under fallen logs nearby trees) bearin 1-2 lvs with 2-5 roundish tips segments. ♦ St lvs with 7 to (pres?) 13 segments. Lateral segs. small except upper lvs about 2cm wide. All segs deeply toothed. 6-19-31 Ononis repens L. Cote I 312, Bon 72, BVH 110 Fl. R'dt De. Renoldigata. Sts 30 in long, pubesate but not hooking. Rostrine. 6-19-31 Brunella vulgaris L. [?] = Brunella - l Coste III 131, Bon 255; BVH 365 Fl. Alion. 6-19-31 Scrophularia nodosa L. (See 6-9-31) Fl. Alion Root thick & tuberous.
