39 E of Cane Spring station The Coniferous rests or contd into mine than 5 ft of
Shinnerville.
40 cont at bridge 5, about 1 mi N of Cane Springs, the Cony rests in 11 1/2 feet of Shinnerville as already noted.
37 One and a half miles from Shepherdsville mile or so to Cedar Grove Church the Black shale rests in Crenidal Coniferous. Within directly or not I am sure since the Cretaceous contact was not seen. Below is thick exposed at Innisville. Pentamerus fossils have been seen in some loose blocks beside the road.
36 About 3 miles from Shepherdsville, along the creek below Lick Shelllet, the top of the same, with 3 inches of volcanic rock (very good) at top has been in creek bed. Waldron shale rises above creek level going down creek but not slowly that half a mile below the point where road turns off towards right (E) to go along the ridge (good ridge until the base of sand is not yet seen. Wollers Run old road to Bulls Run Over Washington Road.
35 At Ed Wollers home, about 1 mile from Lick Shelllet, the Coniferous is a very white rock with no fossils (about 3 or 4 feet thick) 20 feet above the Waldron. My finds seen in Coniferous to identify the arch.
34 At Cedar Creek 1/2 miles beyond Ed Wollers home, is base of Good clay, beautiful laminated with red pebble and greenish brown about 18 1/2 ft thick not counting under layers at least.
