Apr. 24, Arizona Red-wing, Sonoran, about 20; Phainopepla 1. 5 p.m. [M.Ture]- Out of your and next long Gila: Morning Dove 5; CarR. Kingbird 2; Sonoran Redwing 4. 5:50- On up Gila at Waltra. a good many Saguaros along base of hills to night; also castillos. Have seen: 2 Say Phoebes around a station house; 5 Turkey Vultures; 1 Shrike; 1 Mourning Dove. 1:10 p.m.- at Sentinel, Ariz.; 3 Dark Sparrows; 1 Raven; 1 Shrike. may not setting. Other birds glimpsed without recognizing them. April 25 6:15 a.m.- Dewing, NM., 4300 ft. alt.; still pretty warm; clear. a broad plain, with grass, some farms, and toll-station yuccas, on which were perched 2 White-robed Ravens; saw also 5 English Sparrows around Station.
