6 April 25 - New Mexico Driving to El Paso by 9:00 am.; Very stretches of level country with low mesquite, tall yuccas, phedra, bunch grass, etc. Many Swallow-tails (or more), White-necked Ravens (25+); White-rumped Shrike (2); Scalated Doves (bunch of 8); Mourning Doves (3); Sparrow Hawks 1. El Paso, Texas - 8:30 am. Lots of creosote brush came in a few miles above here. saw at least 12 Swallow-tails, 1 Raven, 2 linnets. Here are several English Spar Out of El Paso: 2 Barn-Swallows; 9 Mourning Doves. 10 a.m. - Just leaving Rio Grande River bottom - alfalfa, cottonwood, mesq arrived at Iplex: Mourning Doves (2) Raven 20; Sparrow Hawk 3; Mockingbird Shrike 2; Shrikes 7; Shorebird 4. 12:15 - Ft. Hancock up over mesa toward Sierra Blanco: Creosote bird
