Black Shale rests on the
Cniferous at 965. The
Cniferous thick rests di-
rectly on the typical Mad-i
son beds. See observation
above, what for they tally. Far-
ther East, on the south side
of the road, the typical Mad-
ison is well exposed, slip-
ping eastward.

the junction with the New
Market pike the Black
Shale rests on the Cnifer-
erous at 962.

nun a road turns off south-
ward at a black smith shop,
a stream in the field NW of
the shop shows Madison
rock dipping SW.1065. The same
rock is shown in a new-
dug well just west of the
next railroad crossing
going eastward.

Half a mile south ward, up
a hill east of the road, the
Saur Dilarian richly fossil-
iferous rocks in situ are
overlaid by Cniferous
dbris in the soil at 1115.
The Wurchinqua bed is
found near the foot of the
hill.
