Two miles west of Cedar
Creek, oolitic limestone
forms 2 feet at the top
of the Laurel limestone.
Only the upper 22 feet of
this formation are exposed.
Atysa reticulata is
found in the oolitic layer.

at Gibbs Shames house,
4 1/2 miles east of Burton,
the oolitic layer at the
top of the Laurel lime-
stone is seen. On and just
beneath this layer occur the
following fossils:
Calymene niagarae.
Dichinantes liriculus.
Strophomena like alternata?
Phycozella vestiana?
Atysa reticularis, acann
form.
Stephanocrinus.
Eucalyptocrinus crassa
" 2 other species.

The Waldron shale is 12-13 feet
thick. 11 feet of the Lino-
sville limestone are exposed,
base of Waldron at 1043.
Three and a half miles east
of Burton, the base of the Wal-
dron is seen at 1038.

At Amelia Workleys, 3 miles
east of Burton, at least 15
feet of Linnerville limestone
occur beneath the Conif-
erous. The total Devonian
section is 5 ft 6 in thick,
which about 3 feet consist
of dark brown rock with white
crinoidal fragments inside.
Beneath this is grey crinoidal
Coniferous.
The Black shale is found
immediately above at 1040.
Oolitic at top of Laurel limestone
east of Cleas Blounts's
house, about 1/2 mile, in
the Linnerville limestone
is found Pentamerus
of elongus, Alcyites cat-
ticulatus, coarse.
Over it is found the Con-
iferous, the base at 1040,
after a rain.
