reticularis, and Spirifer Current lines. The heavy chert beds begin 25 feet above the base of the Corniferous. The dark iron bed overlaying the cherty beds, comes in con- tact with the Black Shale 47 feet above the base of the Corniferous. The most interesting part of this exposure is the evi- dence of non-conformity between the Corniferous and the Madrian beds of the Lower Silurian, and the fact that Corniferous is here seen for the last time or going south- ward, at least nor other localities are known further southward just at present. The axis of the Lower Silurian fold- ing is E + W = pre-Devo- nian in part at least. On the east side of the creek is a low anticlinal flexure. A slight exami- nation from on shows that this anticlinal flex- ure is only a slight acci- dent in a general northern dip in the Lower Silurian. The most interesting feature consists in the fact that in the northern end there is evidence of slight bedding of Lower Silurian material across the edges of the Lower Siluria, and parallel to the Corniferous. This is Lower Silurian ma- terial rearranged by pre- Devonian waters. The Cor-niferous conforms itself to these washed edges of the Mad-rian beds. Base of Cornif. s N East side of Fry's Creek. On the western side the non-con- fornity is more marked. Corniferous. Lower Silurian Dips of non-conformity on West side of creek.
