Many violet-green Swallows circling about - 1 Sparrow Hawk and at another stop found chipping Sparrows and Pipits - many Crows - drove on to Ross where we ate our lunch within hearing of a Black-headed Grosbeak. Warbling Vireos, Lutescent Warblers, Western Flycatchers and a Pure Siskin also heard. At Ross Station we found Paleolated Warblers, another Grosbeak, Allen Hummers and a Kingfisher on the creek - Locust trees, roses, Hawthornes and Iris in full bloom - On the way to Richmond we saw many Bonaparte Gulls in the salt marshes and on the return trip a Loon - also two Loros in the lagoon beyond San Quentin - Full list: Loros (3) Pal or Red-throated? Cornorants Yellow Legs (plaver) Killed Deer - 2 Western Gulls Brown Pelicans Turkey Vulture Herring Gulls ? Great Blue Herons - 3 nests Sparrow Hawk Bonaparte Gulls Black-crowned Night Heron. Kingfisher. Calif Woodpecker, Western Meadowlark Spotted Towhee Anna Hummer Bullock Oriole Grosbeak Allen ..
