Red-shafted Flicker - in many places. Say Phoebe - Imperial Valley - (Cassia Kingbird ? - several flycatchers with gray backs, black tails seen on desert and one on Salinas River) Horner Lark , several flocks on desert. Yellow-billed Magpie near Sta. Margarita . Calif. Jay - several places - Steller Jay - Boulder Creek . Western Cross-300-400, Santa Inez Valley. Plain Titmouse , Salinas River Bush tit, Pomona etc . Rock Wren (J.T.A.), Mt. Sprigs W. White Wren - Boulder Creek Wren-Tit, Boulder Creek . Ruby-crowned Thrush, Boulder Creek . Chickadee, Boulder Creek. Creeper .. . W. Mockingbird - L.A. etc . Hermite Thrush , many places. W. Robin , ab. at Alascadero . W. Bluebird , 100-200 at Palom Canyon. Also in Peach Orchards near Calabasas - Pipit, La Jolla Cedar Waxwing - Claremont Shrike - everywhere-More abundant in South. Audubon Warbler. everywhere. W. Meadow Lark - less ab. than expected . Brewer Blackbirds everywhere. more ab. in north. Lunnet - flocks in distance, occasional everywhere Green-backed Flycatcher L.A. Willow Goldfinch - Los Gatos. Sp. Towhee, Claremont Brown Towhee , more conspicuous in north. Dark Sparrow-Salinas Valley Gambel Sp. everywhere . Mutton Sp . Golden-cr. Sparrow- north Song Sparrow- Pine Siskin - Boulder Cr. 75.
