would not see [illegible] laughing although he also surprised, the other two boys came down a flying like experts- Heading among the hills in under Mt Bolton there are two lakes one a mile long by a quarter wide and the other barely circular, about 300 yds in diameter. As we descended from the lakes to the ice front we noticed many new crevasses, & will try to get us some fresh meat. The boys find here the sledge left by Dr. [illegible] in 1914 when they were after bears. The dogs nearly all starved so they
