Apr 23rd Ben Binger has a little house where I sleep, and go to his home for meals. Both he and Pastor Frederiksen are very cordial & Hospitable. They speak very highly of Dr Tarkvary who was until then lost year at this time. Weather continues cold. Two of Company Boots here been out about a week trying to reach some small settlement south of her, and have not been heard from. The ice is holding them back probably. We were fortunate to get in as we did, Apr 24 Very comfortable here. The two company boots came in yesterday one was not able to reach his destination on account of ice 13 below this morning. I play chess with Ben his assistant. They are not in good practice
