April 3d. Continued storm. Ice is breaking up -- have begun & just mota boat in Bole, [illegible] but there is yet considerable ice to break out before we can get it in the motor. The "Hans Czech" supposed to have left Copenhagen two days ago. April 4th. Still stormy. wind from South west & rather strong. Ice packing some but it is warm. Rain & snow at times. April 5 Storm over leaving considerable ice in harbor & along coast to southward. Unless this changes we cannot get the motor boat out. If chance offers to get along with Verniah D shell go at once.
