March 1st, Tobris tells me 2 on two days behind calendar. Broke camp at daylight & started over day then his shirting spool of muster often. I am binding under doze & sledge dangerously but headed off by many open leads and finally Tobris broke thro ice sledge and all. Had trouble getting him out. Finally when near Oquisset forced to land and proceed on foot. There is small stre here with native stockeeps. Have bought coffee, sugar, ships bread, & tobacco for ourselves, also 2 hellefishes food & 3 seals, one for each dog team. They are small seals. Joe promises to be getter tomorrow, and hope get an Akerasak whos is a dane who speaks English I am told.
