4-3-29 Backs arvensis, L to 3:30- Flo fr. Field edge Warwick Pond. Seems like the type usually found (comp with [illegible] plant [usual type]) except that Lvs are 1/2 x 1/4 instead ? 1x in or smaller. The plant having a larger stature, broader looks all parts. Flo seem just like [illegible] usual type except that the pollen sacs are purple larger than [illegible] grayish ones of the type and the 2 posterior anthers has a thicker- at tip? filament or perhaps this is a part [anther], while the anterior anthers are more slender thru- out. Calyx lobes perhaps slightly thinner than type, ? plant in? some cases lvs like autos the lvs at least approaching glabrous. X #181 6H. 4-3-29 Scrophulariaceae - Buds. only 1 plant on west side? Warwick Pond. Perhaps 2 ft high, branched, rather light green, St. linearis with spreading jointed hairs. Lvs oblong, rounded? enire except for low mucronate tip for upper ?/3, below that with distinct, blunt, low, mucronate teeth, venate or sub ciliate at base. Lower lvs 9 in x 1? in ? almost equal width through out. petiole in; repuls lvs smaller with very blunt petiole. Lvs lvs glabrous above with jointed hairs on petiole? on venous & mid-rib below, also a few on margins. Bpplies (young) lvs finely pubescent both sides, hairs pointed & some of them seem to be gland tipped. Flo solitary in upper axils, peduncles? at this stage ?/8 in, very slender. Laxy like St.
