Calyx deeply divided into 5 linear lanceolate, nerved, lobes hairy. like at first at this stage 5mm long. Lower edges of lobes lyriform & sinuate making slight natural angle. Lobes almost equal, the 2 lower seeming a little shorter and less acute. Corolla tube rounded above with short forward pointing hilt spurs beneath. Prob 2 lipped, the 2 lobes of the upper lip overlapping the 3 of the lower in bud. Lobes about 1/2 as long as tube & about equal. Corolla slightly hairy outside. Stamens 4 or about filaments attached to base of tube. Anthers large, the base 1 cell each anther slightly tufted hairy. Stamens 1 set. 2 upper lobes of corolla exactly like filaments of stamina. Ovary superior, 2 celled with many ovules or axils placed ac. Style blunt, stigma prob cap- itate. No color except green evident in corolla, anthers slightly purple tinged.
