Ciliate on claw, 3-nerved at base, some nerves traveling (vary heavily pubescent (see 3-12-29) stamens unequal length, about to tips of stigma. Rudis in stolidence heads but as far as seen are ni'20 on the peduncles. Rex Hamilton v Spanish Point. 3-20-29 Casurina equisetifolia L. p 99 v BM) OP 221 No Ph beyond sunrise to flo. This is the common C in Bermuda but 13 ketts counted on each of 2 joints. Each stamen has deciduous scaling cap (either 1 or 2 scales) which falls at anthesis and flower filament has 2 lateral scales (these form the perianth) there are 3-lobed at apex, the middle lobe longer v pointed acuminate. Fz. (collected 3-1-29 Dry Cottage v 3-9-29 St Georges Public Garden.) is about 1/2 in diam, scales pubescent. Interscalumet 1/2 in. # and have ridge on scale, at one side of the center which might be called a keel. 3-20-29 Delphinium validum, Vahl p 48 Flt Pojet Marsh. Scales linear v from lacerate on margins. Basal heads of color reddish brown. 3-26-29 Dichromena colorata, A.S. Hutcheson Pojet Marsh. Dried remains old flo which seems not to have matured.
