Stn. weed. x #158 alt. 2-21-29 Vicia asquoholus -- Field east of Agri Station. Stipules half-sagitate spotted with large purple dot in center flower d roundish lobe. Plant standing upright let. row of lilies. Studied somewhat hazy, 20-25 mile. 1 ft to 14, tendrils branched. 1/2ft to 1 1/2 in x 3/8in., pubescent hairs very slightly as at top. Oblong, blunt, rounded or retuse apex, mucronate (like nuttall illim B F p 13). Fl. 10-2 very short pedicel marish. Calyx 1/2 in. labs narrow acuminate as long as tube. Flower l x 1/4 in. Cordla purple. Stigma 4-cleft at tip. Style with ring hairs at summit consisting mostly of tufts at back. 2-21-29 Maurandya erubescens, A. Gray M. Leland p 347. (varie B. N.Y. C.P. 673) Agri. Station on old house near 20 entrance. Fl. 2 yellow banded lines inside anteriorly Corolla pubescent outside, 3/8 in-subula, inside of tube white dotted rose, base of tube, outside while slightly golden glow. Very sits obliquely on whitish side. Every part densely pubescent at top. 2 celled, many ovules on axile placentae.
