Bright scarlet. Stamens 5-equal length-attached at base of tube. filament hairy with densely hairsy ring at base. Stamens long enough to anther to reach to base of corolla lobe. Style one (stigma not on specimen) vary seated in disk. 2 celled with 2 ovules basally attached in each cell. Ovaries twice as long as how lateral v pars papillose maybe. * 3-21-29 plant labeled Clypistoma callistegioides. Outside of corolla glutinous in bed (which to fingers a studied certification indicate). Ovary seems 1-celled with parietal placenta, one lid opened showed stigma, 4 lobes. 1 staminode, 3 normal stamens, 1 stamen with 1/2 pollen cells, 2 stamens (evidently 1 filament splitting just above base) with 1/2 another parted cell.
