with tiny deflexed style. Capsule and persistent sepal show red dotted (20x). Capsule globose, 4- mm diam, one-celled, 3-valved with several traces on placenta from middle to each valve. Only 2 seeds ripened. Seed yellowish, very small ovaling, with a large (1/2 as large as rest of seed) white fleshy appendage (very like the appendages [among] [the] lugula) at one end decurrent down the side. Seed 4 mm long overall. 895 8-4-34 Viola Roadside Cleistogamous flovs unisexual near steps at 1st house beyond Cafe des Narcisses. Proflameae #894 & 1 1/2 in high bearing tuft of small apex and (or may abut a pair or several) below. Flovs (exactly as in #894) in the axils of these two. 8-4-34 Equisetum arvense L. Colt III 712; Bsn 385; BVH 571; A52; SV/I 15. Sterile etc. Wet spots on glims -> Les Avants, Rd. Brandes have scattered secondary branches, occasionally 2 (but usually only one) at a node (and not nearly at all the nodes). Hence plant has not at all the effect of E. silvaticum with its secondary branches verticillate. See A52 and BVH 571.
