Fl. Rochers de Naye. Sts (a solitary; #12 from same lot)
3-4 in high, bearing a terminal fl (on one case
a 1st fl on that branch below tip). St. angulares.
Hairs on st, ln, vinvol & same chars as in #884 but
fewer esp on ln (which looks glabrous except for
citation) involucracts however almost as hairy as
#884. No filiform fls can be found. Rays spread
enough to give plant a daisy-like look. Wedd 13-15
in diams (narrow rays). [7-26-34 Fl R de N.]
Prob also one of the forms of F. alpinae (See 8-29-31 and
7-25-33.)
7-5-34 Phleum Michelii All. Cote II 540, Bon 350, SVKI 50
Fl. Rochers de Naye. Fls ill (Costa) but glumes also hairy
or lateral nerve. "Rudiment sterili" ie prolongation of
axis evident. Upper sheaths somewhat inflated
glume thin; lemma 2 1/2 mm long, infl 7 cm long.
Lateral
nerve of glumes seen about midway bet back &
edge (Cote contra). Cf with P. nodosum. Palearodese SvkI.
