8-5-34 bracts. Lower brads f[illegible] rather spreading. Lower 9mm diam just under rays. Head would be about 13 mm diam across top if the rays spread flat. Profils from pfs. Basal lvs to 17 mm long by 3 x 5 mm at the def of spatulate tip. Tips often slightly emarginate. St lvs 4, narrowly lanceolate, the upper most bract- like (st does not look lfy). All lvs perfectly glabrous on upper surface. St lvs with a few scattered hairs beneath; rather long hairs on edges; the basal lvs almost glabrous beneath and shorter hairs on edges. St 60 cm to base of head, stiffly erect, ridged, hairy with non-particulate heads. 897 8-5-34? Arenaria ciliata L. Coote F 2010; Bon 58; BIN 72; SVK I 247. Fls young fr. Engadine. This is queried b[illegible] cause it is very suggestive of A. inflata as well (Coote): stems lfy with lvs longer than internodes; fls 1-2 in pedicels shorter than calyx; lvs rounded at apex. But dried lvs show the white projecting foodots of A. ciliata [SVK] this P.B.K can not distinguish. the translucent dots in peak lvs noted on 8-6-34. St sepals show 3 nerves inside. Preserved to study when dry (somewhat mildewed when pressed).
