8-31-33 particle. The peduncle is usually branched into 2 branches at tip, each bearing 3 or more florets. Florets are again short branched. The peduncle terminates in one rather long pedicelled flower standing between the two branches. Calyx 7mm to tip of longest teeth; corolla projecting 10-15 mm beyond throat of calyx, the lobes its lower lip overlapping. Calyx teeth very unequal the 3 upper triangular erect, the lower much longer vaulted. Flowers 18 mm overall. Odor of plant strong but not hardly agreeable. Note that both low flo seen too small for Caticidice. Largest of col is 40x28mm, pedicle 12 mm. Plant looks very like BVH II #288 (C. aylracia Bupf. here said to differ from C. officinalis Moench) but not at all like BVH II 791 (C. precisalis Moench) 8-31-33 Bromus arvensis L. Coats II 647, Bon 368 BVH II # 473, # 163, SVKI 81FL. Au Marseille's Val-Mad. Using SVK: Lower glume 3 nerved, upper glume 5 nerved; awn below tip of lemma, and antian 3-4 mm. So ident. sure all the spiklet (without awns) is 25 (or more mm) and awns make it about 5mm, more lemma 8mm long. Plant with very many 2's from fibrous (easily elicited) root.
