edges. Lvs always in 4's, linear long or ob-lanceolate, rounded v not bristle tipped at end and narrowed at base. Flo white, 2mm on a side. Lyes not sharp pointed Antlers tinged dull purplish-brown in Ireland grow darker in Fl (never a bright "red" or "purpursine". Fruiting pedicels very like ill (A) Fr glabrous (granulation not definite now), small (1/2 fls is about 1.5mm diam) and in cross-section almost definite (A). All (B/D/H)/v(Cate) would do for A v Pozo (B) but is far too sturdy in effect for (C). Number of flo of (B) rather less than in all (Cate) and of C very much less. 861 5UKZL[69] 8-2-33 Aster [A. Sts stiffly erect +/- tigh, red below, glabrous (except one plant which had a few hairs on the sts [infl]). St parts infl + ridged (obfusely). St iffy throughout tho in all but one specim, the lower broe are untitled & gone less firm (getting more or slender) glabrous, lanceolate, sharply acum- niate narrowing toward base. Int beloved for this narrowing forms almost a wide petiole which is slightly hooked into a very partially closing face
