Villeneuve marsh. This is same plant as 7-18-33
(see note)
and its roots & lower lvs make ident sure.
8-2-33 Polygonum lapathifolium L. Cota III 254, Bon
375, BVH 403, # 360, SVI 213 Fl v fr. Many spec cd
from Villeneuve pice all the way to Bourcet. They
all agree in lvs of sheathed bracts without
trication and lvs longer than 2 nodes. Apart from
that there is wide variation from glauced spcec
like 6-28-33 through gradations to husky forms
with greatly prollern abov 2 nodes reddetd, fls pink
or white; lvs with dark spot in center or not.
All lvs (except the few on roots beneath) is finely (20x)
gland-dotted, rough with hair on edges & mid-rib.
Pedicels, pedicels, bracts (to less degree perianth)
sometimes show a few glands, often hardly any.
Fr often 2 x 2 mm or little longer. Dust often slender
(6 mm or much less wide). These part belong in at
least part of them to the sep (or nbr) nodosum
which are to BVH III # 318 = P. petiolare Stokes
