7-25-33 branched from the base. No runners at base. Also see. to manuals 7-25-33 Arctis arenata Shuttlew. = A. corymbiflora OUTI 314 Cat I/02 Vest. linipe fr. Nape (see 7-22-31 almost surely the same). Several different sts. v 2 young fly rosette like shoots from one root. Very tiny but less sensile v rounded at base but not scaled. Sleep- ing L or not divided (ales the reasons for ruling out *1092 v1093). Fl less than 1 mm wide, accl and winged, but not shining. Hence we arrive at 9* p 313. Fls b 2 cm. x ± 1.5 mm, spreading from axis exactly as base. ClL (Coste) \(Note: time is past for the upper part infl. to be hanging etc as desc BUT but R seems to remember having seen this char in plants collected earlier in season). Tallest at now 30 cm (which almost half is fruiting part. Other 18-26 pls. Hanson has mostly 2 forked but some 3 or 4 fol ones found (query whether more than "gangvereingelt"?) cfl with plant pss) A. lirsuta from Nape region and (in add. to define base flrs) the style (inf) is found to taper to the tip (instead as in A. lirsuta) broaden- ing at the tip from a narrower base. Besides this the st is comparatively less fly (being quashed to. wards inf) and less hairy 7-30-39 Epipactiolatifolia All. Fl. Glen. (See 8-1-33)
