7-11-33 lobe malae aquatic, lobaceous (4/)
lf deeply cut (sometimes almost to mid-rib) abt
there are 2 pairs of very distinct lobes below the
terminal 3-5 lobed portion. Outer edges of all lobes tooth.
Petioles 2cm. The upper two provided with semi-
lunar, foliaceous, deeply tooth stipules ±1 cm long
slender stiff sharp thorns ± 5mm in axils of lo?
Young stn wth loupg longish loose white hairs
[prob deciduous] and lower petioles now show
similar hair on edges when held up against
light. Prob this is C. monogyna jacq. tho when
collected was taken for some goose-berry (Can't be
Ribes Uva-Crispa [Cate #123 because that has
no stipules & tripartite apices)
7-15-33 Campanula
F.& Cult. Dray's garden. Perennial 2ft [and more] high.
Either branched from base or throwing out stlts. Stn
blaucolate 4x1 in; the lowest narrowed to form
a winged petiole, the upper sessile, narrowed at
tips, the very end blunt with mucron, very abt-
lowly toothed, each tooth ending in a curved mu-
cron. All parts of plant glabrous & slightly ridged
[sic] or solitary, almost sessile fls in axils of the bractles
progr gradually into bracts the uppermost [which]
is very slightly longer than the calyx. Corolla pale blue very open & saucer shaped, 3-4cm diamn, its
blunt lobes more than ½ the depth of corolla. Calyx lobes
