7-11-33 Prunella grandiflora Jacq. SUTH 559 BvH 365 = Brunella grandiflora Jacq. Costa III 131, Box 255 Fl. Rouge du Chauderon. Carefully fd with P. vulgaris l. Corolla fully 2 cm., the uppermost petal fls ½-2 in blow h. head, the middle lobes upper like calyx triangular v like the other 2 teeth except rather broader. The appendages of filaments blunt ± ¼ mm. (not as in P. vulgaris with appendage of longer filaments, #1 mm.) v sharp pointed with the others much smaller. 7-11-33 Epilobium roseum Selieb. Costa II 49, Box 105, BvH 157, SUTH 468 Early fl. Along waste land along R.R. as it starts uphill. Fls too young to be absolutely sure of shape of stigma but the lines on the st. are distinct. St. very long & few reddish. Lvs def. fascicled (5-25 mm.). Plant much branched; glabrous below, pubescent at top. Teeth of lvs ending in a toothy gland (SUTH). Fls 5 mm. longe. Petals white with pink veins. As fl. open stigma takes "4 slantly 4-lobed" (BvH) 7-11-33 Verascum Fl. Alion station. Purplish hairs on anthers & stamina would point to V. Claixii Vill SUTH 583, Costa II 621 Box 229! Since it is obviously none of the others with
